By 2020, Bitfia Labs had proven two things: we could secure assets (PINT Wallet) and we could automate settlements (PintP2P). But as we looked at the global market, we saw a glaring gap.
While individuals were happily trading crypto, businesses remained on the sidelines. The reasons were obvious:
Volatility: A CFO cannot accept a currency that drops 10% in an hour.
Complexity: No merchant wants to manage private keys or gas fees.
Speed: Traditional bank wires (SWIFT) were still taking 3-5 days to settle.
We realized that for crypto to go mainstream, it needed to stop behaving like a casino and start behaving like a rail. We needed to build an infrastructure that stripped away the “Crypto” complexity and left only the “Fintech” efficiency.
The Birth of iPint: The Volatility Shield The engineering challenge for iPint (our flagship B2B platform) was distinct. Unlike our wallet, which was about holding value, iPint was about moving value without risk.
We architected what we call the “Volatility Shield.” Using the instant execution logic we perfected in our P2P marketplace, we built a gateway that instantly locks the exchange rate the moment a customer pays. The system processes the crypto in the background and settles the merchant directly in USDT (Tether) or Fiat.
The result? A merchant in Singapore can sell goods to a buyer in Brazil. The buyer pays in Bitcoin; the merchant receives stable USDT minutes later. Zero exchange risk. Zero chargebacks.
Scaling for the Enterprise Building for B2B meant we had to scale beyond simple transfers. We expanded the codebase to support complex business operations:
The Invoicing Engine: We digitized the billing process, allowing freelancers and agencies to send professional links that settle globally in real-time.
Mass Payouts: We reverse-engineered the gateway to create a disbursement engine, allowing companies to pay thousands of affiliates or employees worldwide with a single click.
WebPOS: We built a hardware-agnostic Point-of-Sale layer, turning any mobile device into a crypto-terminal for physical retail.
